We participated in our 2nd Adoption Dayz at Natural Pawz in Sugar Land today. Since it's a smaller event, Kamea made his event debut and did quite well! He was pretty laid back and did well with adults and kids petting him as well as various sizes of dogs greeting him. Thanks to Delilah, Rick and Miki; Kim and Kamea; and Margie for doing the event!
We enjoyed a wonderful day at PetFest in Old Town Spring today. There was a lot of interest in the Malamutes with adults and kids stopping to pet them and ask about the breed. Most couldn't believe how big Nikita was for a 16 month female or that Miki was really a girl because of her size. We also learned Carl loves the big Mals. Beth took some pics with our "beach scene" and we sold quite a few sodas/waters! Delilah and Miki won 2nd place in the costume contest as Little Red Riding Hood! YEAH!
Thanks to Rick, Delilah and Miki; Beth and Perry; Kim and Carl with Bowie and the Malamute wannabes Mocha and Aurora (siberian huskies - used to demo difference between 2 breeds); Ron and Tiro; Wilbur and Nikita; and Margie who came out to help!! We will be there again tomorrow, 10/19 from noon til 5p so come out and say "Arwooo!" to us and the Malamutes!! View pics: set 1 set 2
We participated in Barktoberfest in Kingwood. Thanks to Delilah and Rick with Miki and Buck; Kim with Bowie; Wilbur and Nikita for helping at the booth! Despite the heat and not being in the most shady spot, we had many people come by and visit. Delilah and Miki won the costume contest as Little Red Riding Hood; and Nikita's adoption was finalized after being fostered for a couple of months by Wilbur.

We had our first Adoption Event at Natural Pawz in Sugar Land today. We had a good day with many folks stopping by to visit the furry ones. An interested applicant came out to visit Lana today and the family really likes her. We are going to schedule a home visit next! Paws crossed ;) Lana was adorable as always. Perry got a reprieve from the clinic today and got to come and hang out. After being wild man for the first few minutes, he finally settled and did well. Miki persuaded her Mommy & Daddy to let her come and it was just supposed to be for a little while but she stayed all day! She was a great model but did have some "Diva" moments which ended up in time outs outside! So overall a good day; Lana gets to go on a home visit soon and we also got an application from a couple that were visiting the store. Click on picture above to see a few pictures from today.
