Reliant Dog Show Recap

First, Reliant is over for another year (whew!?) and I know we have some very tired folks (and dogs) out there now! Everyone did great from our booth volunteers to our WP crew, and all their helping hands and paws. Your time, energy, and effort is *very* appreciated and I hope everyone had a really good time at the show!

The Weight Pull on Saturday was a big success! Despite minimal show advertising, it drew lots of public attention with many folks asking if we were doing it again Sunday. (If we only knew!) This may have been our first ever WP, but probably not our last from all the positive feedback we have received so far. So a big thanks goes to everyone that helped make the weight pull happen or work the event.

Booth visitors were nearly non-stop all weekend and kept everyone hopping. Reliant is one of the bigger dog shows in the nation, certainly the biggest in Texas, and I'm guessing many of you may not have realized that earlier? (Although I bet some do now!? LOL) It takes some team work to pull it off and still have some fun. I think we did that and more this year! Every bit of that is a major credit to all our volunteers... dog and human!

And last, Reliant has traditionally been more for public exposure and breed education. So we are usually happy just to break even cost wise and make a few new friends? This year's show was easily the best one in ages and also the first one to bring in any real profit for rescue... and we did it at *both* the weight pull and the booth! Way to go guys!! We couldn't have done that without you!

And no...I'm not forgetting the friends that couldn't make it, folks that popped in just to say hello, or the support from outside TAMR. I know I missed some folks and didnt get a chance to talk to everyone, so I just wanted to say all your support is definitely appreciated! :-)
